Giving people direct access to God is the greatest gift you can give them.

In the Old Testament, the system was one guy had direct access to God once a year. But God didn’t want it that way. The Holy Spirit testified that’s the way it would be as long as the Tabernacle was in use.

Or in other words, when the Tabernacle wasn’t in use, the access would change.

And the Tabernacle isn’t in use any more!

Give the people you lead the gift of direct access.

Don’t make it all about you. Coming to you for their “food.”

Anyway, it doesn’t really make sense. Who among us want people to call us in order to have their morning quiet time?

Give them reading plans.
Pull the truths out so they want more.
Teach them to pray.

Oh, it is a struggle. Always is.
Oh, also, don’t give them theology. Don’t just teach them the theology of the Priesthood of the Believer.

Live out theology.

Let your life of having direct access to God reveal to them that they can have the same life. And live it in such a way that makes them want that life.

Because you can give away what you have. Would you want to give others the direct access to God that you live out?

This is to help you recognize a little of what God is trying to say through Hebrews 9:6-10 by sharing what God was revealing to me. You can subscribe to this daily perspective via email or RSS.
