Leaders must grow the level of belief in those around them.
The biggest thing is to make sure we are leading them to believe in the right things.
You can lead them to believe in what you do.
Or you can lead them to believe in who you are.
And by “you” I mean the organization, not you as a leader. But the sticky thing is that they can’t believe in the organization until they believe in you.
Jesus wanted people to see him as more than someone who gave them stuff and did things for them.
Jesus wanted them to see that he was Lord of the Kingdom. The Kingdom that brings restoration to people.
The goal for you is to have those around you to believe in the organization. Not just what you do…but who you are as a collective people.
And the best way to do that is to give people reasons to trust you. Not as a means to the end of getting money. But to the means of showing off what your organization can be.
So live what you want your organization to be. Build their trust.
And you’ll see a belief that the organization can be great.
And then they will make the organization great.
How can you build trust today in what you want your organization to be?
This series is about leadership lessons we can apply to our everyday lives from the stories of Jesus’ miracles. Today’s reading is from John 4:46-54.
